The Florida Blue Florida Classic is an annual college football rivalry game between two of Florida’s most popular HBCUs - Florida A&M University (FAMU) and Bethune-Cookman University (B-CU).  The Florida Blue Florida Classic weekend is more than just a game; it’s an experience where college friends reunite, families come together, and fans show out for an O-town Showdown to witness the FAMU Rattlers and B-CU Wildcats battle it out on the gridiron for bragging rights. Since its inception in 1978, more than 2 million fans have attended the Florida Blue Florida Classic, making it the BIGGEST Black college football game in the country.  The event features various activities and events, including the Florida Blue Battle of the Bands, the Florida Classic Consortium Kickoff Luncheon, and the Florida Classic Night of Distinction. These events provide additional opportunities for fans to engage with the teams and celebrate the rich history and culture of HBCUs.
